The Hudson Pant is the ultimate lounge pant you will want to wear all the time! In two 3 hour advanced beginner class sessions, you will be making either a men’s or women’s version of knit lounge pants. These pants have a tapered leg with elastic waist and pockets. Fabric not included. Check the pattern back for fabric yardage required for your size. Bring your pre-washed fabric to class. Note: The fabric required is a knit. Check your pattern information to make sure your fabric has the correct amount of stretch.
Note: You will need to arrange to collect your pattern and cut your fabric out before class. We've found the cutting out is very time consuming. If you can't collect your pattern, please let us know and we will mail it to you. We encourage you to stop into the shop before class for help cutting out your fabric if needed.
Skills you will learn: The skills you will learn in this class are sewing with knits, inserting an elastic waist, using a serger.
You've taken one of our intro to sewing classes or have the equivalent amount of experience. You know how to thread and use a sewing machine. You have some basic garment sewing experience such as a pullover top or a-line skirt. You have experience reading and cutting out a pattern. You've sewn within the last 2 years. You will not be taught to sew in this class so please be sure you already know how to sew!
Materials needed: See your required fabric yardage & drawstring information on the back of the pattern and bring your fabric pre-washed to class. We have a lot of great choices for this pant at the shop. 1/4” wide cording (2 yds)
Materials provided: The Hudson sewing pattern, a sewing machine, coordinating thread, elastic, fabric shears, pins, marking tools, measuring tape and an iron.
