The Stella dress is a pattern designed by our very own Brittani! Her original design is a fun and flirty dress with a high-low skirt silhouette. In one 6.5 hour class, you will be making View B. Pattern and sewing tools included at class. Fabric not included. Check the pattern back for fabric yardage required for your size. Bring your pre-washed fabric to class. We'll take a 30 minute lunch break during class. We will order food, but if you'd prefer to bring your lunch, you may do so.
Note: You will need to arrange to collect your pattern and cut your fabric out before class. We've found the cutting out is very time consuming. If you can't collect your pattern, please let us know and we will mail it to you. We encourage you to stop into the shop before class for help cutting out your fabric if needed.
Skills you will learn: The skills you will learn in this class are inserting an invisible zipper, sewing straps, lining a bodice and attaching a high low skirt to a bodice.
You've taken one of our intro to sewing classes or have the equivalent amount of experience. You know how to thread and use a sewing machine. You have some basic garment sewing experience such as a pullover top or a-line skirt. You have experience reading and cutting out a pattern. You've sewn within the last 2 years. You will not be taught to sew in this class so please be sure you already know how to sew!
Materials needed: See your required fabric yardage on the back of the pattern and bring your fabric pre-washed to class. We have a lot of great choices for this dress at the shop.
Materials provided: The Stella sewing pattern, a sewing machine, coordinating thread, fabric shears, pins, marking tools, measuring tape and an iron.
