The Teahouse Dress from Sew House 7 is a beautiful dress with a flattering silhouette. In 2 four hour Intermediate class sessions, you will be making the dress version. The dress features a v-neckline with front and back neck yokes, front seaming and in-seam angled pockets, a back neck box pleat and cuffed dolman short sleeves and a waist tie. Pattern and sewing tools included at class. Fabric not included. Check the pattern back for fabric yardage required for your size. Bring your pre-washed & pre-cut pattern pieces to class.
Note: To save time and space for your fellow sewists, please arrange to collect your pattern and cut your pattern out before class. If you are not able to collect your pattern, please let us know and we will mail it to you! We encourage you to stop into the shop before class for help cutting out your fabric if needed.

Skills you will learn: The skills you will learn in this class are sewing front and back neck yokes, box pleats, angled in-seam pockets and sewing dolman sleeves.
Skills expected: You've taken one of our intro to sewing classes or have the equivalent amount of experience. You know how to thread and use a sewing machine. You have some basic garment sewing experience such as a pullover top or a-line skirt. You have experience reading and cutting out a pattern. You've sewn within the last 2 years. You will not be taught to sew in this class so please be sure you already know how to sew!
Materials needed: See your required fabric yardage information on the back of the pattern and bring your pre-washed and cut pattern pieces to class. We have a lot of great choices for this dress at the shop.
Materials provided: The Teahouse dress sewing pattern, a sewing machine, coordinating thread, fabric shears, pins, marking tools, measuring tape and an iron.
