In this 6 hour intermediate class over 2 sessions, students will make the Cashmerette Upton Dress. The Upton is a fit and flare dress for full figure women. It has a lined bodice and hidden pockets. In class students will be making the round neckline. It's a the perfect spring and summer dress--wear it to parties, weddings or church. You will need to arrange to collect your pattern and cut your fabric out before class. We've found the cutting out is very time consuming. If you can't collect your pattern, please let us know and we will mail it to you.
Skills you will learn: The skills you will learn in this class are attaching lining, sewing pockets into skirt side seams, inserting an invisible zipper.
Skills expected: You've taken one of our intro to sewing classes orhave the equivalent amount of experience. You know how to thread and use a sewing machine. You have some basic garment sewing experience. You have experience reading and cutting out a pattern. You've sewn within the last 2 years.
Materials needed: See your required fabric yardage in the image attached.
Materials provided: The Upton dress sewing pattern, a sewing machine, coordinating thread, fabric shears, pins, marking tools, measuring tape and an iron.
